Majed
Al Suwaidi

Managing Director

Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City and Dubai Production City

Majed Al Suwaidi was appointed as the Managing Director for Dubai Media City (DMC), Dubai Studio City (DSC) and Dubai Production City (DPC) in March 2016.

Prior to his current role, Majed was the Managing Director of Dubai Internet City (DIC), the MENA region’s largest ICT business community and Dubai Outsource City (DOC), a modern, hi-tech business hub dedicated to the growing outsourcing industry.

He has played a crucial role in supporting and fostering SMEs, startups, and entrepreneurs within DIC, which enhanced the technology ecosystem in Dubai. Under his leadership, Dubai Internet City launched in5 innovation centre to support start-ups in technology in 2012 and was named a Strategic Partner of Smart Dubai in 2015.

Khadija
Al Bastaki

Director of Business Development

Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City and Dubai Production City

Khadija is responsible for identifying and attracting business development opportunities across the three media communities, and engaging with business partners to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Khadija is also responsible for developing and recommending new commercial products to enhance the offerings of the communities, and identifying and driving expansion opportunities for business partners.

Jamal
Al Sharif

Managing Director

Dubai Studio City & Chairman of the Dubai Film and TV Commission

Jamal Al Sharif is responsible for driving the business community’s strategic objectives and promoting Dubai as the region’s leading film and production hub. Jamal was also appointed Chairman of the Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC) in 2012. In this capacity, he works closely with private entities and the Dubai government to increase media production in the Emirate, develops filming incentives, nurtures the growth of the local talent pool and markets the Emirate to regional and international producers.

Rana Osman

Marketing Manager

Dubai Studio City and Dubai Film and TV Commission

Rana Osman is responsible for devising and executing the marketing and PR campaigns for Dubai Studio City (DSC) and Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC).

Prior to joining DSC and DFTC in 2013, Rana worked at TECOM Group’s SmartCity division, responsible for building and executing the global PR strategy for SmartCity.

Rana holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Management, Leadership and Strategy from Michigan State University.
