Dubai Studio City announces details about post-production workshops to be held during CABSAT 2015
Dubai Studio City (DSC), the MENA region’s leading community for broadcasting and production, will host a series of post-production workshops in partnership with CABSAT from 10-12 March, where, for the first time in the region, certified instructors straight from the NABSHOW training wing will provide advanced post-production training to media professionals. This will mark the 11th consecutive year of participation and partnership with CABSAT for DSC, whose stand this year will be designed to replicate one of its Sound Stages, which are the largest of their kind in the region.
The two-day training sessions will bring together editors, producers, directors and new media specialists in production and post-production, as well as independent films, to learn a variety of skills including green-screen production and post-production, how to be a better director, web video production strategies and creative editing tips.
To encourage creativity and promote talent, DSC has also partnered with AUD (American University in Dubai) to offer three aspiring media students the opportunity to take part in the 2-day workshops. AUD have shortlisted candidates to take part, and the students will learn first-hand from world-renowned experts about the crucial production and post-production skills, and will be presented with an internationally-recognised certificate at the end of the training.
CABSAT has grown to become the MENA region’s largest broadcast, digital media and satellite expo, bringing together industry professionals to discuss, debate and showcase the latest technologies within the production, animation, photography and broadcasting sectors. With more than 900 exhibitors and 20,000 expected visitors, CABSAT has and continues to play a major role in supporting Dubai’s aim to become the destination of choice for productions from around the world.
