DUBAI, UAE 4TH DECEMBER 2012: Dubai Studio City and MBC Group signed a strategic partnership agreement, for enhancing content creation for TV and film production in the Middle East and North Africa. MBC group will start its new production facility at one of the prime sound studios at Dubai Studio City, designed based on international standards and world class qualities. The new partnership will also strengthen the cooperation between the two, especially in the media content development and growth of cultural and creative industries in the region.

TECOM Media Cluster Hosts Panel Discussion as part of Thought Incubator Series
Dubai–UAE: 12 September, 2012 – Advertising players in the Middle East often rely on global trends to forecast media developments. It must be understood that most of these trends are hardly relevant to the region. It is, therefore, essential that we keep specifics in mind when it comes to predicting and planning ahead, according to Nadim Samara, General Manager, OMD Dubai.
Samara added: “The single consistent factor between all advertisers is the need for accountable and effective media and communication solutions for addressing business challenges. This will remain a key influencer in shaping the media and advertising industry in the region and worldwide.”
Samara’s comments came at a panel discussion on ‘Advertising Trends in the Arab Region: The Present and the Future’ hosted by TECOM Investments’ Media Cluster. Held as part of the ‘Thought Incubator’ series, the debate centred on the rapid shift in new platforms and creative approaches.

Dubai Media City and Dubai Press Club Host Panel Discussion on Ways to Develop Local Content
Dubai-UAE: 03 July, 2012 – Dubai Media City, a member of TECOM Investments’ Media Cluster, in conjunction with Dubai Press Club (DPC), today hosted a panel discussion on ‘Local Content and Migration to Digital Platforms’. The event focused on the growing importance of digital platforms, their impact on the global print media industry, and the penetration of digital media in the GCC countries. The initiative comes as part of a series of discussions organized by DPC to highlight the key outcomes of the fourth edition of Arab Media Outlook 2011-2015. Examining latest trends in the media sector across 17 Arab countries, the report particularly studies the media consumption pattern in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco.
